The 2013 cohort has posted our school’s best IB results since introduction of the IB diploma programme in 2002. Our students achieved a 100% pass rate (world average 78.54%) with an average passing grade of 35.6, significantly above the global average of 28.81 and 0.9 points better than our previous best from 2008. GISS graduates attained the top score of seven points nine times, in English A, German A, German B, History, Psychology (twice) and a staggering three times in Maths! Five of our students achieved all three available bonus points for their work in Theory of Knowledge and the Extended Essay.

Nine of the 11-strong cohort will be eligible for Association of Australasian IB Schools (AAIBS) Merit Awards in February 2014 and two of them, Linah Winoto and Luis Frey, will receive the AAIBS Distinction Award for students attaining 40 points or more in their diploma. Franziska Chmiel will also be awarded the CAS award for her outstanding work with A Girl in the World.

We are extremely proud of our graduates and wish them all the best in their future endeavours!
