GISS introduces one new Northern Beaches bus route

GISS has introduced one new Northern Beaches bus route as a direct result of record student enrolments for the 2020 school year.

Open to all GISS students from Preschool to Senior School, The Manly Express will be added to the existing Northern Beaches Flyer and Pittwater Express, expanding bus routes to the school’s most popular catchment suburbs along the Northern Beaches.

General Manager, Kristian Wolf commented: „Given the high demand in the Northern Beaches area, we have decided to invest in a brand-new bus and additional routes. This expands our routes and most importantly improves the journey for our students.”

Of particularly note, the Manly Express will have fewer stops, reducing student travel time by approximately 20 minutes. The new bus service will have only seven pick up/drop off destinations from the first pick up in Brookvale at 7.20am to North Balgowlah, then direct to the GISS gates. While the Northern Beaches Flyer and Pittwater Express have ten and eight pick up and drop off destinations, respectively with their routes covering Curl Curl, North Curl Curl, Freshwater, Queenscliff, Manly, Manly Beach, Fairlight, Balgowlah, Seaforth, Dee Why, Dee Why Beach, Collaroy, Collary Plateau, Narrabeen, North Narabbeen, Eleanora Heights, Ingleside, Warriewood, Mona Vale and Bayview.

With a fleet of eight air conditioned buses currently servicing the entire Sydney basin, GISS boasts a long standing partnership of over 15 years with the daily chartered bus service which picks up and drops off at the school gates.  The dedicated school buses are only available to GISS students and offer a fixed timetable and daily route, allowing families to plan their week choosing from either term or casual travel for Preschoolers through to Senior School students.
