At the Beach2Beach Charity Fun Run on Sunday 27th August, 31 runners and walkers (and one dog!) from the GISS community, got together on a perfectly sunny Sunday morning to enjoy wonderful event. The GISS Team raised $1603 for our school charity, a Girl and her world  and was awarded “3rd Top School” for the day. In addition to this, 25% of our team’s registration fees will be returned to our school and used to buy new sports equipment!

This was a wonderfully fun event, with participants choosing between 3km, 6km and 14km. The Finish Line for all was a Newport beach, where our GISS post-run refreshment tent was minded by Pauline Schuele, while everyone else ran. Many thanks to Pauline and to all who participated or donated to our runners!! And a big thank you to Janine Boubbov for organising the team.
