Students at GISS have the exciting opportunity to be part of a student exchange with Germany to explore the European culture and German language more intensely.
GISS offered its first student exchange with Germany in 2011. Since then, every two years a group of GISS students has visited Germany for approximately three weeks.
The diverse program includes a week of staying with a host family and visiting our German partner school. During the other two weeks, GISS students and accompanying GISS teachers travel around Germany and visit various cities, getting to know more about the history and culture of Germany.
In the following year, our students host their German partner students for two weeks. During these two weeks, our guests join GISS and we undertake various outings together, such as visiting museums and aboriginal sights, taking a city tour and going to the beach.
The exchange is optional and the costs are not included in the school fees.
