GISS is dedicated to fostering academic excellence and providing students with the tools they need to succeed in a globalised world. Our scholarship program represents our ongoing commitment to supporting the next generation of leaders and learners.
The IB scholarships cover tuition fees up to 50% for the entire duration of the two-year International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB Year 11 and 12).
Who can apply?
The scholarships are open to existing students and new students with English native speaker fluency, entering in Year 11 in 2025.
For current GISS Year 10 students:
Please send an email to ibscholarship@giss.nsw.edu.au and attach the following documents
- Last four school reports and NAPLAN results from Year 9
- Personal statement, outlining your interest in the IB, studying in a multicultural bilingual environment, and your goals for the future. Explain what makes you worthy of a GISS scholarship, and if selected how do you intend to leave your mark within the GISS community?
Year 10 student currently enrolled at another school:
1. Please start your GISS application form online and upload the following documents in the process:
- copies of your birth certificate and passport(s).
- your last four school reports and
- the latest NAPLAN results (if your current school is in Australia).
Please note that there is no need to pay the application fee when prompted. This means you will not be able to fully complete the application or receive a confirmation at this stage. However, we will still be able to view all uploaded documents and entered details, and we will be notified once you send us your email as indicated below.
2. Send an email to ibscholarship@giss.nsw.edu.au including:
- a personal statement written by yourself, outlining your interest in the IB, studying in a multicultural bilingual environment, and your goals for the future. Explain what makes you worthy of a GISS scholarship, and if selected, how do you intend to leave your mark within the GISS community?
