GISS unveils one of Australia’s most advanced school science labs!

We officially opened our brand-new, state-of-the-art science facilities in partnership with Waldner Education, joined by German Consul General Felix Schwarz and Waldner Sales Director Greg Hartwell.

Featuring Waldner’s revolutionary FlyOne system, the new labs are designed for flexibility, innovation, and hands-on exploration—setting a new benchmark for school science facilities in Australia.

The event marked a significant milestone in our school’s mission to enhance STEM education and provide innovative, future-ready learning environments. A number of distinguished guests from education, government, and industry attended the celebration, which included a dynamic science showcase led by GISS’s Year 11 and 12 International Baccalaureate (IB) students. Our students conducted experiments with live demonstrations of the FlyOne system highlighting the lab’s adaptability and high-tech features.

A special thank-you to German Consul General Felix Schwarz for officially opening the lab and to Greg Hartwell from Waldner Education for his support and collaboration in bringing this exciting project to life.
