GISS holds first Rhönrad competition

On Sunday, 18th of November, the GISS Rhönrad group held a Rhönrad (wheel gymnastics) competition, which was the first to be held in Australia since 2012.

All participants were required to do the prescribed routines (depending on ability, either L5, L6 or L7. More experienced gymnasts also developed and performed their own unique freestyle routines which differed depending on skill levels and preferences. Despite nerves and excitement, they all did a great job and performed really well.

A huge thank you goes to the judges Karen Pfitzer and Kathi Brassington who organised the event together with co trainers Abby Duruz and Silke Bethke, all of whom had prepared the gymnasts in the best way possible.

Now everyone is highly motivated to further improve their skills for the next competition.
