Updated GISS Term 1 COVID safety guidelines for families

Our COVID safety precautions have been put in place to keep everyone in our community safe. 

Please do NOT send your children to school if they:

  • are feeling unwell with any COVID-19 symptoms.
  • have tested positive. Please refer to NSW Health for guidance and report a positive case to The Public Health Order requires families to immediately notify the school of their positive result. 

Close Contacts

Household and close contacts of COVID positive cases are no longer required to isolate provided they have no symptoms and comply with NSW Health guidelines. This includes taking a daily Rapid Antigen Test, prior to attending campus and wearing a mask indoors. According to NSW Health guidelines Household and close contacts should study or work from home where practicable. Please visit the NSW Health website for further information.
